Marathi Language Glory Day Celebrated with Pride at SVIES, Latur

Swami Vivekanand Integration English School celebrated Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din on February 27, 2025, with great enthusiasm to honor the richness of Marathi language and literature. The celebration marked the birth anniversary of the legendary Marathi poet and writer, Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar (Kusumagraj).

Presided over by Hon’ble Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade Ma’am, the event featured vibrant participation from students and staff. Esteemed dignitaries including Vice-Principal Mrs. Shivkanya Tat Ma’am and Academic Incharge Mr. Sanjay Biradar Sir graced the occasion.

The program included poetry recitations, storytelling, speeches, and a compelling skit highlighting the evolution of Marathi language. Marathi handwriting and essay competitions were also held to encourage linguistic expression.

Concluding with soulful Marathi songs, the event left the audience with renewed pride in their mother tongue. Mr. Sachin Dive Sir delivered the vote of thanks, and the event was coordinated by the Cultural Committee, with compering by Mrs. Rohini Salunke Ma’am and Mrs. Sushma Gadade Ma’am.

The celebration successfully deepened appreciation for Marathi language and its literary legacy.
