Swami Vivekanand Integration English School, Latur, celebrated the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar with great reverence and enthusiasm. The programme aimed to commemorate the life, vision, and contributions of the architect of the Indian Constitution.

The event commenced with the ushering of the esteemed guests, followed by a warm welcome address that set a respectful tone for the occasion. The ceremony formally began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through knowledge. This was followed by the felicitation of the guests as a mark of respect and gratitude.

Mr. Dattatray Ohal Sir delivered the introductory speech, highlighting the significance of the day and the enduring legacy of Dr. Ambedkar. The programme featured insightful student speeches, with Shravani Kalshetty expressing her thoughts on Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and contributions. This was followed by a teacher’s address by Mr. Lahu Bhosale Sir, who elaborated on the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings in contemporary society.

The gathering was further enriched by the address of the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Bapusaheb Gaikwad, who inspired the audience with his thoughts on equality, justice, and education. The Presidential Address was delivered by Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade Ma’am, who emphasized the importance of following Dr. Ambedkar’s principles in everyday life.

The celebration continued with vibrant cultural presentations, including a melodious song by Shriniti Kamble, followed by teacher performances by Mr. Vijay Sarwade Sir and Mr. Dattatray Ohal Sir. A special highlight of the programme was the Shahiri Jalsa presented by the Music Department, led by Ms. Kiran Lakade Ma’am and Mr. Aditya Gore Sir, along with students Shravani Kalshetty, Shraddha Hodade, Priyanka Barkule, Rashi Mote, and Sargam Mote, vividly portraying the life and struggles of Dr. Ambedkar through a powerful musical narrative.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade Ma’am, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for making the event a grand success. The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for an inclusive and just society, leaving a lasting impact on all present.
