Marathi Language Glory Day Celebration - 2026

Swami Vivekanand Integration English School, Latur, celebrated Marathi Language Glory Day on 27 February 2026 with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and garlanding of the portrait of renowned Marathi literary figure Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, paying tribute to his invaluable contribution to Marathi literature.

The event was presided over by Administrative Coordinator Mr. Vikas Labade Sir. Academic Incharge Mr. Sanjay Biradar Sir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade Ma’am, Vice-Principal Mrs. Shivkanya Chavan Ma’am, and Coordinator Mrs. Sushma Gadade Ma’am.

Students actively participated in the programme by delivering speeches highlighting the significance and richness of the Marathi language. Adding to the cultural spirit, students of Class II ‘A’ presented a vibrant Maharashtrian dance performance, which was highly appreciated by the audience.

The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Shivkanya Chavan Ma’am. The celebration instilled a sense of pride among students and encouraged them to respect, preserve, and promote their linguistic and cultural heritage.
