Swami Vivekanand Integration English School (SVIES), Latur, celebrated Savitri Bai Phule Jayanti as Balika Din on 3rd January 2026 with great reverence and enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of girls’ education and empowerment.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Archana Galshetwar from Puranmal Lahoti Polytechnic College, Latur, and Guest of Honour Mrs. Yogita Jadhav, a renowned actress. The event was presided over by Administrative Coordinator Mr. Vikas Labade, in the presence of Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade, Vice-Principal Mrs. Shivkanya Tat, Junior Wing Academic Coordinator Mrs. Sushma Gadade, and Cultural Committee Head Mr. Dattatray Ohal.
The programme commenced with the garlanding of the portrait of Savitribai Phule, paying tribute to her pioneering contribution to women’s education in India, followed by the felicitation of the dignitaries.
Students Pratiksha Khare (Class VI) and Puja Sakpal (Class XII) expressed their views with confidence, reflecting on the relevance of Savitribai Phule’s ideals in today’s society. Mrs. Jayshri Patil also shared her thoughts, emphasizing the transformative power of education in empowering girls.
The gathering was further inspired by the motivational addresses of Mrs. Archana Galshetwar and Mrs. Yogita Jadhav, who encouraged students to pursue education with determination and self-belief. The programme was efficiently anchored by Mr. Dattatray Ohal, while the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade.
