Swami Vivekanand Integration English School (SVIES), Latur, observed World AIDS Day on 1st December 2025 with a series of impactful activities aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and promoting compassion and social responsibility.
The programme began with an introduction highlighting the importance of understanding HIV/AIDS and breaking the stigma associated with the disease. The initiative focused on educating students, encouraging empathy, and spreading awareness about prevention and support for those affected.
Students actively participated in various activities, showcasing both creativity and awareness. Class VI students presented a powerful skit depicting real-life situations, emphasizing awareness, prevention, and the need to eliminate stigma. The performance delivered a strong message of empathy and understanding.
Students from different classes delivered insightful speeches, highlighting the importance of awareness, prevention, and community responsibility in addressing HIV/AIDS. The programme also featured meaningful song performances that conveyed messages of unity, hope, and compassion.
Interactive discussions were conducted, where students exchanged ideas on HIV prevention, the importance of regular health check-ups, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These discussions encouraged active engagement and deeper understanding among students.
The event was graced by Administrative Coordinator Mr. Vikas Labade, Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade, Vice-Principal Mrs. Shivkanya Tat, and Junior Wing Academic Coordinator Mrs. Sushma Gadade, along with other dignitaries, who appreciated the students’ efforts and participation in promoting such an important cause.
The programme served as a valuable platform to spread awareness and reinforce the values of empathy, care, and responsibility within the school community.
