As a prelude to the upcoming Diwali festival, Swami Vivekanand Integration English School (SVIES), Latur, celebrated Deepsandhya Nights with great enthusiasm and cultural vibrance. The event beautifully reflected the spirit of tradition, music, and togetherness, setting a festive tone for the season.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries, symbolizing an auspicious beginning. This was followed by an introductory address by Mr. Dattatray Ohal, Cultural Committee Head, who warmly welcomed the gathering and set the stage for the evening.
The dignitaries were greeted with a melodious welcome song, followed by a traditional felicitation with shawls and Tulsi vrindas, symbolizing purity and goodwill. The programme was formally inaugurated by renowned singer and composer Mr. Shashi Deshmukh, Professor at Venkatesh Mahajan Mahavidyalaya, Dharashiv, whose inspiring words highlighted the true essence of Diwali as a festival of light and positivity.
The function was presided over by Mr. Chandeshwar Shastri, former Sanskrit Professor at Dayanand College, Latur, who delivered an insightful address emphasizing that the true spirit of Diwali lies in spreading goodness and kindness rather than mere celebration. His message added a thoughtful dimension to the event.
The programme was further graced by Chief Guest Ms. Sayali Tak, Superstar winner of Star Pravah, Maharashtra, and Guest of Honour Mrs. Aditi Ajit Patil Kavhekar, Directress of JSPM, Latur. The presence of distinguished artists, including Ms. Apurva Patil, Ms. Ridham Patil, Ms. Unnati Mundhe, Ms. Kadambari Kaslabade, and talented tabalists Mr. Chiranjiv Aditya Gore and Mr. Tejas Dhumal, enriched the cultural ambience of the evening.
The school leadership, including Administrative Coordinator Mr. Vikas Labade, Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade, Vice-Principal Mrs. Shivkanya Tat, and Academic In-charge Mr. Sanjay Biradar, added grace and dignity to the occasion.
The highlight of the evening was the series of soulful and classical musical performances by the guest artists, which mesmerized the audience and created an atmosphere filled with joy and festive spirit. Students, parents, and staff actively participated, making the celebration lively and memorable.
The programme was elegantly compered by Mr. Vinod Kardure and Mrs. Kajal Chavan, whose engaging presentation ensured a smooth and vibrant flow throughout the event. The evening concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Vinod Kardure, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, performers, and participants for making Deepsandhya Nights a grand success, celebrating the spirit of unity, culture, and festivity.
