Swami Vivekanand Integration English School (SVIES), Latur, celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2025 with great enthusiasm, joy, and reverence, honouring the dedication and invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the future of students.

The event was graced by eminent dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Sandipan Jagdale of Dayanand Arts College, Latur, and recipient of the National Teacher Award – 2025, and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Pramod Tandale, Principal of Jaykranti B.Ed. College, Latur. The programme was also attended by Administrative Coordinator Mr. Vikas Labade, Principal Mrs. Varsha Labade, Vice-Principal Mrs. Shivkanya Tat, and Academic In-charge Mr. Sanjay Biradar.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, paying tribute to the great educationist in whose honour the day is observed. The School Choir Team set a melodious tone with a welcome song, followed by a formal introduction of the guests by Cultural Committee Head, Mr. Dattatray Ohal.

A soulful musical performance by Mrs. Kanchan Shastri Ma’am captivated the audience and added a special charm to the event. The programme also featured inspiring addresses by dignitaries. Mr. Vikas Labade emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in shaping young minds, while Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Jagdale appreciated the dedication of educators and encouraged students to value education and respect their teachers. Guest of Honour Dr. Tandale highlighted the significance of lifelong learning and the continuous pursuit of knowledge.

The cultural segment brought vibrancy to the celebration, with students presenting an energetic dance performance that was warmly appreciated by the audience.

A unique highlight of the day was the active involvement of Class X students, who took charge of the school’s functioning. They assumed roles of teachers and administrators, managing classrooms and school activities with remarkable responsibility and enthusiasm, making the celebration truly memorable.

The programme was efficiently organized by Class X students under the guidance of Mr. Dattatray Ohal. The event was gracefully compered by Omkar Kamble, Pranita Baswane, Shravani Dhage, and Sarthak Bhukan, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow throughout.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Sanjay Biradar, Academic In-charge, expressing gratitude to all the guests, staff, and students for their valuable contributions.

The Teacher’s Day celebration at SVIES, Latur, was a grand success, reflecting deep respect and gratitude for the teaching fraternity. The event not only honoured teachers but also showcased student leadership and responsibility, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic education and value-based learning.
