The Ashadi Ekadashi celebration at Swami Vivekanand Integration English School, Latur, was held on 5th July 2025 with great devotion and cultural fervour. The school campus came alive with festive energy as students and teachers arrived in traditional Maharashtrian attire, radiating the spirit of the occasion.

The celebration commenced at 9:30 AM, with the entire premises beautifully decorated to reflect the sanctity and joy of this auspicious day.

Event Highlights:

Soulful Bhajan Session
The programme opened with a spiritually uplifting bhajan session, led by:

  • Mrs. Kiran Lakade Ma’am

  • Mr. Dnyaneshwar Jadhawar Sir

  • Mr. Dattatray Ohal Sir

  • Mrs. Kanchan Shastri Ma’am

  • Students: Priyanka Barkule, Shraddha Nanasaheb Hodade (Class VIII) and Arohi Mehetre, Rashi Mote (Class VI-A)
    Their melodious performance created an atmosphere of deep devotion and serenity.

Traditional Folk Dance by Teachers
The teachers presented a graceful Maharashtrian folk dance, traditionally performed during Ashadi Ekadashi. Their performance captivated the audience and highlighted the cultural richness of the festival.

Devotional Dance by Students
Students gave a vibrant performance to the devotional song "Vithhal Viththal", showcasing their enthusiasm, discipline, and reverence for Lord Vithoba.

Maha Aarti Ceremony
A grand Maha Aarti was conducted by:

  • Mr. Vikas Labade Sir – Administrative Coordinator

  • Mrs. Varsha Labade Ma’am – Principal

  • Mr. Sanjay Biradar Sir – Academic Incharge

  • Along with all esteemed faculty members
    The entire school community came together in prayer, seeking blessings of peace, prosperity, and unity.

Dindi Procession
The event culminated with a symbolic Dindi procession, reflecting the spiritual pilgrimage undertaken by Warkaris during Ashadi Ekadashi. This procession brought the celebration to a powerful and spiritual conclusion.

Organised by the Cultural Department
The entire programme was meticulously planned and executed by the Cultural Department of SVIES. The event concluded by 1:00 PM, leaving students and staff enriched with the values of faith, devotion, and cultural pride.
