To pay tribute to two iconic figures of Maharashtra’s rich history, Swami Vivekanand Integration English School solemnly observed the Punyatithi (death anniversary) of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and celebrated the Jayanti (birth anniversary) of Lokshahir Anna Bhau Sathe, the renowned social reformer and people’s poet.

The programme commenced with a garlanding ceremony, during which dignitaries offered floral tributes to the portraits of the two revered leaders—symbolizing deep respect and reverence for their enduring legacies.

The event featured thought-provoking addresses by:

  • Mr. Vinod Kardure Sir, Marathi Subject Head, who eloquently highlighted the lives and contributions of both Lokmanya Tilak and Anna Bhau Sathe, emphasizing their lasting impact on Indian society and their continued relevance today.

  • Mrs. Manisha Kulkarni Ma’am, who focused on the life of Lokmanya Tilak, tracing his journey as a fearless freedom fighter, nationalist thinker, and the visionary behind the iconic slogan, “Swarajya is my birthright and I shall have it.”
