My Journey as a Teacher
05 Sep 2025
Teacher’s Day has always been special for me, but ever since I stepped into the role of a teacher myself in 2012, it holds a deeper meaning. Now, with 14 years of teaching experience, I realize that teaching is not just about lessons and exams—it is about touching lives, planting seeds of hope, and shaping tomorrow.
Every smile from a student, every “Good morning, sir,” every curious question—they remind me why I chose this path. Teaching has taught me patience when things don’t go as planned, strength when challenges come my way, and joy in the smallest of victories.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving not just as a teacher but also as a mentor, counselor, coordinator, and guide. From being entrusted with academic responsibilities to leading committees, training teachers, supporting students emotionally, and contributing to school development, each role has added another dimension to my journey.
I happened to hear about my students who are now shining in different walks of life—some at the top level in NDA, some serving as doctors, some working in railways, and some excelling as engineers. Their journeys fill me with pride. It reminds me of a simple truth: teachers are like the path that leads students forward. The path remains in its place, steady and firm, while the passengers move on, carrying the lessons and values with them.
I believe that a teacher is not only one who stands before a class but also one who learns every single day—from students, from experiences, and from life itself. My greatest achievement is not in what I have taught, but in what my students have become.
This Teacher’s Day, I carry immense gratitude—for my own teachers who shaped me, for my students who inspire me, and for this beautiful journey of education that continues to unfold.
Happy Teacher’s Day!
Proud to have completed 14 years as an educator, mentor, and counselor—and still learning every day.
Just like a path never claims the travelers who walk upon it, a teacher never owns the success of students—but feels blessed to have been part of their journey.
