Dear Students / Parents,

We are pleased to inform you about the Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition, conducted by the Greater Bombay Science Teachers' Association (GBSTA) since 1981. This prestigious four-stage competition is designed to:

• Spark curiosity and promote scientific thinking

• Foster problem-solving skills

• Develop accuracy in observation and motor coordination

• Encourage environmental awareness and rational action

Stages of the Competition:

1. Theory Examination

2. Practical Examination

3. General Interview

4. Action Research Project: Evaluation and Interview

Key Details:

• Eligibility: Students of Classes VI and IX

• Languages Available: English and Marathi

• Exam Venue: Details to be shared in November 2025

• Registration Fee: ₹320/-
  (Book available at an additional cost of ₹250/-)

• Registration Deadline:

  • Regular: 31st July 2025

  • With late fee (₹345): till 18th August 2025

Important Dates:

• Offline Theory Exam:
  🗓 Saturday, 8th November 2025

• Theory Exam Result:
  🗓 Saturday, 20th December 2025

• Offline Practical Exam:

  • Class VI: 🗓 Sunday, 4th January 2026

  • Class IX: 🗓 Sunday, 18th January 2026

• Practical Exam Result:
  🗓 Saturday, 8th February 2026

• Submission of Research Project Report (via email):
  🗓 Sunday, 8th March 2026

• Offline General & Project Interviews:
  🗓 Sunday, 15th March 2026

• Prize Distribution Ceremony:
  🗓 Sunday, 5th or 12th April 2026(date to be confirmed)
