Swami Vivekanand National School, Rahatani, celebrated Gokul Ashtami and Dahi Handi with great zest and enthusiasm in the school premises. The entire atmosphere was filled with devotion, joy, and festive spirit.
The celebration began with offering prayers to Lord Krishna, followed by a series of cultural programmes. Students presented graceful dances and songs based on the life of Lord Krishna, which created a spiritual and joyful ambience. The highlight of the event was the Dahi Handi celebration, where students, dressed as Krishna and Gopis, enthusiastically participated in the pyramid formation to break the handi, symbolizing teamwork and unity.
The colourful costumes, rhythmic dance performances, and cheerful chants of “Govinda Ala Re” added charm to the occasion. Parents and teachers appreciated the efforts of students and staff in making the programme lively and memorable.
The Principal congratulated all participants and motivated the students to imbibe the values of team spirit, discipline, and devotion in their daily lives, as taught by Lord Krishna. The celebration concluded with sweets distribution, spreading happiness among all.
